Blue Salt Festival
When you hear the clap of thunder and feel the howling winds of change, do you shy away from the storm or will you rise a hero and lead your people through to a new dawn?
In Heroes Awaken, players will have the chance to serve as leaders for their faction: Nuia, Haranya, or Pirate. These select Heroes will be able to activate faction-wide quests and mobilize their followers into wide-scale warfare – but first, they must earn the respect and admiration of their peers.

The Path to Becoming a Hero

Each 30-day Hero Term will have two phases: a 3-week Candidacy period, followed by Election week.
All players will have the chance to become Heroes by earning Leadership Points and increasing their Reputation. At the end of 3 week candidacy period, the 20 players with the most Leadership Points will become official candidates for election.
Leadership Points can be gained by:
  • Participating in open world PvP
  • Completing party and raid quests, such as Tahyang’s Bolt, Seaknight, and many others
  • Earning Reputation from peers
Reputation Points can be earned and awarded based on participation in parties and raids.
  • A player can only rate another player a total of 10 times in a single Hero Term
  • The maximum amount of reputation that can be earned each day is set to 70.
It is critical to win the favor of your allies, as the Reputation you acquire each day will award you with bonus Leadership Points.

ArcheAge Version 1.7 Build 6.8 Patch Notes

ArcheAge Version 1.7 Build 6.8 Patch Notes

Greetings Adventurers!

Below are the ArcheAge patch notes for our latest update to the Devouring Depths. This update adds in the previewed Blue Salt Festival, re-awakens the flames of the Red Dragon, and makes changes to the game’s security program. Read on for the full details!

This update will remove HackShield. HackShield has reached the end of its support life cycle from AhnLabs, and the group has decided to move out of the online game security business.

As some of you may be aware, the Korean version of ArcheAge has made the decision to adopt GameGuard in place of HackShield. We are testing GameGuard extensively on our internal environments, but we have requested additional functionality and stability requirements before we officially add it to our version of the game. We will not add GameGuard to ArcheAge until those requirements have been met.

In addition to GameGuard, we are also pursuing alternate security methods and additional interim solutions. We intend for any inclusion of GameGuard to be a temporary solution until an alternate solution can be found.

  • The Blue Salt Festival, a celebration of sun, sand, and salty sea air, is underway in Sanddeep!
  • Either travel to Sanddeep directly, or speak with the Blue Salt Representative at the Ezi's Light in Austera, Ezna, or Diamond Shores to receive a teleport scroll.
  • The event is set up on the barrier island just off the shore of Blueglass. Various NPCs offer quests to participate in sand castle building, mural painting, and beach defense!
  • Build sand castles that provide hour-long buffs to players once completed, paint murals to obtain art for your home, and collect festival coins that you can trade in for furniture items, a plushie pet, or special time-limited vehicles and mounts from the exchange machine set up on the beach!
  • Feeling in need of a break from the sun? Enjoy some well-seasoned chicken and refreshing drinks seaside for an additional buff to your good health.

The Red Dragon has re-awoken, and rumors abound of dragon sightings around Erenor.
  • Three times daily (15:00, 19:00, and 23:00 UTC), the Ghost of the Red Dragon appears in Lilyut Hills, Tigerspine Mountains, Stormraw Sound, and Mirage Isle. The dragon's appearance also causes local dragonslayer NPCs to come forth.
  • Speak with a dragon slayer to receive a quest and a special bow used to damage the spectral beast.
  • When the Ghost of the Red Dragon is driven away, obtain the Red Dragon's Breath and return to the dragon slayer for a reward chest.
  • Each character can participate in driving away the dragon's ghost once per day. The event lasts for approximately 10 minutes each spawn.
  • Reward chests contain Red Dragon Scales that can be used to craft the Red Dragon's Legacy cloak. These scales can be used to complete a cloak left unfinished from the previous event. The chests also have a rare chance of dropping the Enraged Red Dragon's Legacy cloak item.
  • NOTE: This event may be extended based on planned outage times.
  • This event will run on the following four weekends:
August 20 - August 23
August 27 - August 30
September 3 - September 6
September 17 - September 20
  • Decreased the health and mana regeneration on the Red Dragon to match current Korea region balance.

  • Increased spawn rate of Black Pearls on Aquafarms. This item will still remain rare, but will be more attainable than before.
  • Increased drop rate of Haunted Chests on Auroria.
  • Increased drop rate of Fusciafin from Dahuta in the Sea of Drowned Love.

  • Maximum character slots per server have been increased to 6 from 4. The maximum number of character slots per account remains at 6.
  • Submarines: Torpedo can now attack against members of the same faction when in Bloodlust mode.
  • Bug fix: Broad Reduction effect was being applied to Ode to Recovery and Mend skills, and is no longer applied.
  • Fixed a bug where items in your inventory, warehouse, or storage chests were rearranged on each login.
  • Fixed a case of client shutdown when teleporting.
  • Fixed a case of client shutdown when harvesting Skyreach Woodlots.
  • Fixed a floating desk in Villanelle.
  • Fixed an incorrect graphic on male Firrans when wearing the Summer Racer's Swimwear.
  • Fixed a location that caused characters to fall through the world in Ynystere.
  • Fixed a location that caused characters to fall through the world in Golden Ruins.
  • Ship summon scrolls now state how many passengers they can hold before losing buoyancy.

Server Transfers & Evolutions: Everything you need to know

Server Transfers & Evolutions: Everything you need to know

The long-discussed moment is almost upon us, Adventurers! Whether you’re choosing to transfer your character to a higher population server, re-rolling a new character on one of our Fresh Start servers, or participating in our server merge process, the Evolution has a choice for you.
Read on to find out what’s available to you and get answers to frequently asked questions. (Note that elements of these plans are still being discussed and may change, but we’ll keep you up to date on any further tweaks or developments!)

Which servers are affected?

After carefully looking at the active populations of all servers, we have determined which servers will be involved in the merge process and how they will be combined. Once these servers are merged, the resulting new servers’ populations will be roughly equal to our high-population servers.
North America
  • Naima and Enla will be merged to form Kraken .
  • Inoch and Calleil will be merged to form Hanure .
  • Ezi and Lucius will be merged to form Nazar .
  • Aier and Orchidna will be merged to form Anthalon .
  • Melisara and Nebe will be merged to form Sirothe .
  • Nui and Janudar will be merged to form Leviathan .

I’m on an affected server! What are my choices?

The Evolution is all about offering choices to you. If you do not want to participate in the physical merge, you won’t have to! All affected players will have the following three options to choose from.

Option 1 – Elect to transfer your character to one of the high-population servers.

If you do not want to participate in a merge of servers, you will be able to perform a one-time, free transfer of your characters to one of the servers on your region that is not affected by the Evolution. In order to transfer, you will have to fulfill certain requirements before making the move (as noted below). You will also have to sign up for a transfer on the official website between August 25 and September 4, 2015.
Important: Please be aware that we may shut off transfers to a specific server if it receives too many transfer requests. Transfers are on a first come, first serve basis. (Example: If too many players elect to transfer to Ollo, we may discontinue transfers to Ollo, but still allow transfers to Kyrios, Tahyang, etc.)
In order to qualify for a free transfer, you must fulfill all of the below requirements:
  • Your character must be on a server affected by the Evolution.
  • Your character cannot be online at the time you apply for a transfer. You may come back online after the application has been completed.
  • You may not possess over 200,000 gold.
  • You may not be a member of a guild or a family.
  • You cannot have any marketplace mail or in-game mail.
  • You may not have any items listed on the Auction House.
  • You cannot own any land.
  • You cannot have a dry dock under construction.
  • Your character cannot be queued for deletion.
  • You must have all summonable vehicles and items fully repaired.
  • Your character must be level 15 or above.
  • You can only transfer everything in your inventory, warehouse, and equipped to your character. If you have more items that cannot fit in this amount of space, we recommend sending those items to your alternate characters and then transferring them to the same server. Players with storage chests will have to unpack their chests if they wish to transfer. We know this is a major pain point for everyone involved, but we were unfortunately unable to find a workable solution to this issue within the architecture of the game.
  • You cannot transfer while you own any items specific to the server.
Once you fulfill all of the above requirements and submit your transfer request, your character will be locked. Once locked, you will be unable to perform any action that would break one of the requirements above.
All characters involved in the transfer will be sent to their new servers on September 8, 2015.
Choosing your name on your new server
When transferring to your new server, the system will automatically check to see if someone else already has your name.
If your name is untaken and available, you won’t have to take any action. The system will reserve your name on the new server, and no one will be able to take it. After your transfer, you will retain the same name.
If your name has been taken or is unavailable, the system will ask you to choose a new name. The name you choose will be checked and, if it is available, it will be reserved for you. Once you receive a reserved name, your character will continue under their normal name until the transfer period. After the transfer, they will be automatically re-named to the name you reserved on your new server.

Option 2 – Stay on your server and be involved in the merge process.

If you choose to stay on your server (or if you take no action to apply for a transfer), your characters will be involved in the upcoming merger. Once complete, your characters will live on the final Evolution server noted above (Kraken, Hanure, Nazar, Anthalon, Sirothe, or Leviathan).
  • We will increase the max number of characters on a server to 6 after the Evolution.
  • Items that are normally destroyed during a land demolish must be packed up into your character’s inventory or warehouse in order to prevent their destruction.
  • We will be providing full kits to all land owners as well as an additional compensation package. The exact items that will be provided in this package are still being determined by Trion and XL.
  • No guilds or families will be carried over to the new server. All guilds and families must be reformed after the merge.
  • No castles will be kept during the merge. All castles must be reclaimed after the Evolution is complete. Castle owners will receive a compensation package after the Evolution. The exact items available in that package are still being determined by Trion and XL.
  • We are still discussing with XL how name conflicts (two characters with the same name on the same server) will be handled. Once the final details of this system are set, we will formally announce them.

Option 3 – Create a new character on a Fresh Start server.

If options 1 and 2 don’t sound appealing, you will have the ability to restart your ArcheAge career from the beginning by playing on one of our brand-new Fresh Start servers.
One new server will be added to each region. The only way to play on this specific server will be to create a new character at level 1. No characters may transfer to this server, and transfers will be locked out for a period of time after the server opens.
We are also evaluating the use of in-game items like the Hasla Tier 2 and 3 weapons and the Lunar Scarecrow Farms available on the marketplace. These items may be temporarily removed from the game during the release of the Fresh Start servers. These plans are still being discussed and are not final.
Important: Fresh Start servers will still count towards your maximum character limit. If you do not have enough character slots to create a new character, you will be unable to play on one of these servers. Make sure you have enough slots open before we begin the Evolution process in mid-September!
  • For players in North America: Your Fresh Start server is Morpheus .
  • For players in Europe: Your Fresh Start server is Rangora .

When will all of this take place?

Our current (and tentative!) plan is to perform the Evolution in mid-September. However, our transfer sign-ups will take place well before the Evolution. Here are our current dates for everything related to the Evolution process:
August 25: Server Transfer Signups begin (Evolution-affected players only.)
September 4: Server Transfer Signups end. No further transfer requests will be taken after this date. All characters on affected servers must be locked in at this point, or they will be involved in the server merge.
September 8: All transfers will be processed at this time. It is currently our plan to take the game offline at some point during this day as we process all of these transfers (in order to ensure they operate smoothly). These plans are still subject to change.
Mid-September: ArcheAge North America & Europe will be taken offline to begin the server Evolution and Auction House cluster changes. This work will take approximately 2 days to complete. At this time all servers will have their character cap raised from 4 to 6. XLGAMES developers and the Trion ArcheAge team will be gathered together in Austin, TX to oversee the work.
The exact date for this release is still to be determined. We are working to ensure that the game will be re-opened on a Saturday, so you have the best chance to play the game without taking a day off from work.
After the 2-day maintenance period, the game will be open with our brand-new Evolution servers and Fresh Start servers!

How is the Auction House shared across these new servers?

As our servers are dramatically changing, we are also taking the time to change our Auction House clusters. After the Evolution, the Auction House will be arranged into the following shared clusters:
North America
Auction House Cluster 1: Ollo, Tahyang, Salphira, Kraken
Auction House Cluster 2: Aranzeb, Kyrios, Nazar, Hanure
Auction House Cluster 3: Morpheus
Auction House Cluster 1: Shatigon, Kyprosa, Sirothe
Auction House Cluster 2: Eanna, Dahuta, Anthalon, Leviathan
Auction House Cluster 3: Rangora

Community Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Will Auroria be available at launch for Morpheus and Rangora?
Yes, Auroria will be available. We are still determining if castles will be immediately available, or if they will be subject to a temporary lockout.
Q. How will you curtail land abuse when Morpheus and Rangora open?
We will be monitoring both servers closely. Anyone who abuses an exploit or uses a “land hack” will find their house swiftly demolished, and their account will receive a punishment determined by the Customer Service team. Don’t do it!
Additionally, our normal land rush rules will be in effect after the Evolution. You may only have two unbuilts per account at any one time, and the other rules will apply as well.
Q. What will you be doing about players who are stockpiling Credits and Labor to take to Morpheus and Rangora?
Items that are stored on an account level (such as Credits and Labor) can be taken to any server – that includes Morpheus and Rangora. We are unable to pick and choose which servers they can be taken to. But, we are considering disabling certain items from the Marketplace during the launch period. While we do not yet have a final list for what items will be included, that list will most likely include disabling the Lunar Scarecrow Farm. Any items disabled on the Marketplace will be disabled on all servers, not just the Fresh Start servers.
Trion and XL are also considering removing the crafting recipe for the Tier 2 and Tier 3 Hasla Weapons during the launch period. Players on the Fresh Start servers will not be able to immediately take advantage of these items during launch. Again, any items that are disabled will be disabled on all servers, so these weapons will not be available for a period of time after the Evolution is completed.
We will announce when any affected weapons and designs will return once a date is officially set. These plans are still being discussed and are subject to change.
Q. When will we be able to transfer to Morpheus and Rangora?
We have not yet set a date for when we will open transfers to Morpheus and Rangora. However, we do want to preserve those servers for new characters for a period of time, to allow players to re-experience a server launch.
Q. After the merger, how long will my items last?
There is no limit for anything you are wearing, anything in your inventory, or anything in your warehouse. We are still investigating how long items that are returned to you will last.
Q. Can you add in a server that enables PvP constantly?
It’s a neat idea and something that has been brought up in the community multiple times, but it’s not something we are pursuing at this time. If you want to see something like this, make sure to speak up and let us know!
Q. I’ve heard that guilds will be capped to 100 people in Update 2.0. Is that true?
In the original Korean version of ArcheAge Update 2.0, yes, this is absolutely true. However, we have suggested the following new system to XLGAMES for their consideration:
Guilds that are level 1 or 2 will have no cap on how many people can be a member. These guilds cannot participate in guild vs. guild conflicts, and cannot have an advantage over another guild. In order to level up, the guild leader must actively choose to level their guild and begin the progression towards the Guild Conflict system. We would recommend that guilds that are social, casual, or roleplay-focused (and do not wish to participate in Guild Conflicts) keep their guild at level 1 or 2.
Guilds that are level 3 or above will be subject to the 100 player cap. These guilds will have made an active choice to participate in the Guild Conflict system and will have to reduce their membership to 100 players or less.
We are still in discussion with XLGAMES regarding how the guild cap will work in our version of ArcheAge, so the above plan is subject to change.
Q. If our guild owns a castle during the Evolution period, what happens to our castle? Will we be compensated?
As noted in the information above, you will not be able to retain ownership of your castle after the Evolution. All guilds must reclaim their castles once the servers re-open. However, we are looking into providing all castle owners with compensation packs. The items in these packs are still being determined.
Q. I have a house on Diamond Shores, what will happen to my home?
Regardless of your server, if you possess land on Diamond Shores, your land will be demolished after Update 2.0 due to the upcoming revitalization of the area. While your house will be destroyed, you will be given a full kit for what you lost and you will receive a compensation package similar to those from the Freedich Isle changes. The exact contents of the compensation package are still being discussed.

One of my questions wasn’t answered! Where can I ask it?

If you still have more questions, we want to be sure to answer them! Together with XL, we will be answering all of the questions you may have on Update 2.0, the Server Evolution, and more on a weekly basis. Simply stop by our brand new “Ask XL & Trion” thread in the official forums , and ask away!
We’ll be publishing the answers to your questions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so keep an eye on the website for an official response.

ArcheAge 2.0 Patch Notes Preview

Forum user NullTV has translated the Russian 2.0 patch notes below. Keep in mind this are in no way official from Trion and anything could change before release. The biggest uproar right now is coming from the fact that guild size is capped at 100 in these notes. Discuss on the official forums or .

ArcheAge 2.0 Patch-notes

Hello again! As i did before with 1.8 CLASSES PATCH-NOTES i will translate everything i found legit about 2.0 (whole patch). I hope you enjoy, lets start!

The following table is showing the guild leveling aura (buff) system. Every guild level give additional effects:

Clarification: leveling is not an permanent, its AN OPTION, guild leader can never press "Level Up Button" and guild will always stay on its current state even if it have enough experience for level up, it will never do it automatically. The final word is guild leader decision. It means, that every guild have an option to not level up and always be under level 3 and keep trade running all day long.

Therefore, you can increase all this effects for 2 hours after participating in any of in-game PvP-events or by killing some powerful creature (like Red Dragon)

Maximum guild level is 8 at the moment, but XL’Games might increase it more in future.

NEW INFO! When guild "A" declare a war to guild "B", guild "B" automatically accept it and war starts!

General information:
• To be able to invite any guild to war guild have to pay gold for it (150 gold in korea version if I remember well); Any additional war your guild will be involved to will increase the amount of gold that guild should pay for it;
• You cannot fight with several “war-guilds” at the same time;
• You can try to declare a war to any guild no more than 3 times/day;
• Until the war period players do not get honor for killing the opposite guild;

Guild will automatically receive the “integrity” status if:
• It got attacked 3+ times at the war-declare day;
• If its level is below 3;
Declare the war is impossible if:
• It is in integrity status at the moment;
• Guild level is below 3;
• It already FIGHTING with other war guild;

*PERSONAL NOTE*: As i know, you and your guild get GLP + Guild Experience from wining the War. And as i know the amount is really big. So wars have sense. Enjoy!

War will lasts for 1 hour, guild who will have more kills at the end of that period is winning. If both guilds killed less than 10 people or equal amount of people it is a TIE. The amount of gold that requires to declare a war is: 100g for first war of the day, 500g for second war of the day and 2500g for third war of the day. Prices are refreshing every 24 hours.
To make sure that GvG is fair enough for everyone, we decided to make maximum guild-members restriction. Now guilds cannot have more than 100 members.

This is the unique tasks (quests, similar to merit badge type) that every guild member can make every day. The following quest types are available to get:
• Materials (creating some low-level materials to complete the quest)
• Raids (killing of legendary and mythic world bosses)
• Grinding (you know what that means, right? Restriction is: req. level 50 character and counts only Auroria mobs)
• Colonization (don’t know for sure what it is, will check when download ru-AA)
• Guild leader quests (the quests of different types that allow guild-leader to get items that will help with guild leveling)

For making this quests you help your guild gain "guild-experience" and also it provides for you some "Guild Loyalty Points" that can be used in Guild Shop for some useful items;

Unique Earing (I will translate the stats but not the picture) can be bought from guild shop for 2000 guild loyalty points.

This earing cannot be equipped at the same time with quest Great Ayanad Earing (this and lower grades), have ability to use it.
“Use: increasing your melee critical chance, ranged critical chance, magic critical chance and healing critical chance for +35% for 2 seconds. Cool down 2 min.” It has share cool down with honor weapons.
In addition, it gives Vitality +25, Focus +212 and all defense ignore +106.

Teleport items:

1) “Hereafter feather: golden ruins” – let you teleport to Summerfield (I hope I write it accurate), near the Golden Runs territory. Cost 2 guild loyalty points (GLP); Guild have to be Lvl.2 to have that item in shop;
2) “Hereafter feather: Hasla” – same effect, cost and guild req-ments;
3) “Hereafter feather: Diamond Shores” – same effect, cost and guild req-ments;
4) “Hereafter feather: Mistmerrow” – same effect, cost and guild req-ments;

Cloaks (you can regrade it in 2.0 to increase this and add additional stats) :

1) First cloak – gives +6% attack speed bonus when equipped;
2) Second cloak – gives +6% cast speed bonus when equipped;
3) Third cloak – gives move speed +10% when equipped;
4) Fourth cloak – gives block/parry +5%. Must be guild level 5 to have that item in guild shop;
5) Fifth Cloak – gives +960 HP bonus. Must be guild level 5 to have that item in guild shop;

Additional usable items:

1) Shatigon’s Eye – item that places “ward” with 15m radius. It decreases all enemies move speed. You can kill it ONLY with siege weapons or bosses;
2) Little Campfire Charcoal – item that allows you to summon your guild mate to your location;

Special Tempering Burnish:

1) Weaponary Tempering Burnish – you can temper your weapon with that item from 6% to 10%;

3) Gem 3 – gives +0,6% of attack speed, can be applied to helmet sockets. Cost – 30 LGP;

Special gems:

The guild UI has changed - now you can find any information about every guild member's LGP, your guild status, wars, wins and loses in wars and also wars history. More of that - now guild leader can leave guild discription right in game, show everyone what is his guild focused on.

You can also send an guild application and wait untill its guild leader will accept (or deny kappa) it. You can look guild list via new UI and chose what guild you want to be in depends on their and your focuses in that game.

Guild leaders will see the list of guys who want to join the guild, accept it and he will be in your guild. Thats it.

I think i finished, all info i get from this sourse . If any additional info will appear i will update this post. Thanks for reading and sorry for my mad photoshop skills :3
